Student’s Question: How do we engage with the problems of the world without losing sight of the teachings on Emptiness?

It is not that we cease to care, we seek Enlightenment because we care so much not just for this world but for all worlds and all beings wherever they are trapped in samsara. Emptiness is not somehow an escape route from this world of caring into another world where we don’t need to care.  It is how to look at this world as it truly is so that by not being deceived by it we can help all beings. If we’re struggling with our sitting practice, can we practise effectively with moments of awareness throughout the day?

You have to find what works for you but you do need to work on it in the sense that you have to keep reminding yourself and bringing yourself back to your original intention. Really reinforce your intention to practise like this in whatever way you find most effective.
